Cancellation policy

To ensure a quality experience, tours are offered by reservation only. When you book a tour, we schedule Guides and other support staff to be available to make your Tree Flight adventure as wonderful as possible. For this reason, we require a 7 day cancellation notice before your reserved date for individuals and 14 days BEFORE your reserved date for groups of 10 or more. If you fail to meet your appointment, we still incur all the same expenses and may have turned others away. Therefore, for those guests who fail to show for a reservation or who cancel on the day of the reservation, 100% of the charge per person will be assessed to the credit card on hold. If you must cancel with less than the 7 day or 14 day notice (this does not include the day of cancellations or no shows), we will charge 50% of the tour price per person that was scheduled. We will move the date once with a $25.00 transfer fee if you are within the cancellation period as noted. 100% of the total will be charged to the card plus the $25.00 transfer fee. The 100% will be applied to the new date. You may NOT go down on the numbers that were originally scheduled for the new dates. You may go up on numbers if availability is there. You will have 6 months to reschedule or you will lose the payment amount charged. A Credit card hold is necessary to make a reservation unless other arrangements are made. We will charge the credit card that holds the reservation for any and all cancellation fees. It will be the person's responsibility, who made a group reservation, to have their group members reimburse them for any cancellation fees charged. If you are making the reservation, we will pre authorize your card for the full amount of the guests you schedule. We will be happy to have your guests pay individually when they arrive at Banning Mills unless the group is 15 or more. If you have a group of 15 or more, we require a group payment plus a 4% gratuity per person. We do take cash and credit cards only as payment- NO personal CHECKS. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

"No Go" Charge:

Sometimes, our guests decide that the course is a bit too much for them to attempt.  Therefore, they may get a "No Go card" to reuse at a later date. We do charge the full amount plus a $10 transfer fee and they may reschedule the tour. The card is non transferable and only that guest may use it. They have 6 months to reschedule the date or lose the credit.  Please understand that even though a guest decides to not go out on the course, they took up a slot for another paying guest. We understand that a guest that decides not to go on the tour or wants to come back after starting the tour feels they should not have to pay for a tour not completed. However, the charge is to cover scheduled guide expenses.  Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Weather: We will not run tours in thunder storms, high winds, or "close in" lightening (3 miles). It is important to remember that foul weather in your area does not necessarily mean foul weather at Banning Mills. Please call first if you have concerns about the weather. We will call only if we are certain your tour will not run. In some cases, tours may be postponed to allow for some weather systems to pass. Sometimes tours might end up being on hold from 45 to 60 minutes due to weather pop ups. When you are planning a tour with us, please take this into consideration. If we do not call you, the tour is still " a go". If you do not show up, that will be considered a no show and the cancellation policy will kick in.

Times: Please be at Banning Mills at least 30 minutes before your scheduled event. We do try to leave as promptly as possible and if you are very late, you may miss your tour time. We cannot guarantee you a place on the next tour. If you miss your tour time, there will be no refund given. Please understand that we DO NOT guarantee that you will go out promptly at your scheduled time. We have no control over weather pop- ups or how any guest will react to the course. Some guests will take longer than others and so extend the estimated course time that they are out. Make sure you TAKE THIS into consideration as you plan your tour with us. Please be patient, especially with others in your group, because you are going to be  glad  you  did!        ARE YOU READY!!
