THINGS TO KNOW TO PLAN YOUR TRIP
Kayaking Trips are available from March to Mid-November, weather dependent. We reserve the right to cancel trips due to inclement weather and to substitute treks due to water levels. A designated adult must accompany minors. Kayaking does require advance notice.
Life jackets are provided and participants are required to wear them on tour.
About our Kayaks: We use sit-on-top kayaks that can't fill with water, are hard to turn over, and do not require roll training.
Required footwear: Participants must wear water shoes with straps or tennis shoes (no flip-flops allowed). Wool socks are recommended if needed in cooler weather.
Helpful Tips
- Bring water and snacks in a waterproof container, especially for the longer treks.
- Do not wear cotton. This is especially important if the weather or water temperature is cool. Wool keeps you warm when wet and fleece dries quickly. Synthetic or wool materials are highly encouraged. In the cooler months please dress warm, you will get wet.
- Wear sunscreen and bring some too! We encourage you to wear a hat. Insect repellant is helpful.
