What to expect on a Moonlight Zip Line Tour
- Skip straight to Levels 2, 3, and 4 under the eerie glow of the moon!
- Soar across 900- and 1000-foot-long zip lines as high as 200 feet above Snake Creek Gorge.
- Traverse 8 skybridges up to 80 feet high and experience our 1500-foot Big Daddy high-speed zip.
- Conquer our 600-foot Sky Trek Suspension Bridge and the half-mile-long Screaming Eagle, all illuminated by moonlight.
Why zip at night? Fly by trees that seem just within reach, bask in the moon’s silver light over Snake Creek, and listen to the enchanting sounds of the forest at night.
Costumes are welcome! Ensure they’re safe for zip lining: no full-face masks, keep them PG-rated, and avoid dresses and unsecured accessories. Make sure your costume allows you to wear a helmet and harness properly.

Is it safe to zip line at night? How will I see where I’m going?
Yes! Safety is our top priority. Our course is equipped with lighting where needed, you will be provided a headlamp, and you’ll have trained guides with you the entire time to ensure a safe and fun experience under the moonlight.
What if I’ve never done a zip line tour before? Is this tour suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! No experience is necessary. Our guides will walk you through everything you need to know, and you’ll feel comfortable before we get started. If you are unsure or want a good introduction you can book a Level 1 tour for earlier in the day to get some great practice before jumping to Level 2 during the Moonlight Tour.
How physically demanding is the Moonlight Zip Line Tour? Will I need to be in great shape?
The tour requires moderate physical activity, but you don’t need to be in top shape. If you can walk on uneven terrain and climb a few flights of stairs, you’ll be good to go! Read about Health Restrictions.
What should I wear for a nighttime zip line tour? Are there special clothing recommendations?
Wear something comfortable and weather-appropriate. Avoid loose clothing like dresses, and don’t forget closed-toe and closed-heel shoes like boots or tennis shoes. Helmets and harnesses will be provided.
What happens if the weather is bad on the night of the tour? Can we reschedule?
Safety first! If weather conditions are unsafe (like lightning or heavy rain), we’ll reschedule your tour or provide a refund. We’ll notify you in advance. We zip line in light to moderate rain so be sure to dress appropriately. View our 7-day cancellation policy.
I’m afraid of heights. Will the nighttime setting make it scarier?
Many people say it’s actually less scary at night! The darkness helps you focus on the adventure rather than the height. Our guides are here to support you every step of the way.
Can I bring my kids on the Moonlight Zip Line Tour? Is it safe for children?
Yes, as long as they meet the age (10+) and weight requirements (minimum 90 lbs.). Our tours are family-friendly, and safety is always our top concern.
Do we need to book in advance, or can we walk in the night of the event?
Yes! Reservations are required for Moonlight Zip Line Tours.
Are there bathroom breaks during the tour? What if I need to use the restroom?
We suggest using the restroom before gearing up since there are no stops along the course. Our guides will remind you before the tour starts!
